SharePoint (MOSS) Developer
Reporting directly to the CIO and System Architect, the MOSS Developer may be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, implementing, testing and maintaining custom development in client SharePoint (MOSS 2007) environments - Specific to Front-End intranet applications and public internet applications.
- Custom application development in support of large enterprise Collaboration/Content Management projects utilizing SharePoint (MOSS 2007).
- Creating custom workflows using Visual Studio for Enterprise use.
- Developing maintainable code using Microsoft’s .NET technologies and tools (Visual Studio Team Systems and Team Foundation Server) that supports our clients business need.
- Working with Information Architect to understand user-provided business requirements and create technical specifications.
- Researching and recommending solutions that best meet the clients business and Enterprise operational requirements.
- Working directly with client IT departments to ensure quality support and delivery to the end-user
Qualifications
Basic/Required
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science or other IT related
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Two years experience with SharePoint and web-related technologies, web parts, master pages, page layouts.
- Proficient in SharePoint (MOSS 2007) administration (Site creation, document libraries, etc.)
- Proficient in SharePoint security levels and user additions using Active Directory.
- Three years experience with Visual Studio, ASP.NET, C#, XML, JavaScript (AJAX), CSS, DHTML
- Experience with relational database management systems with strong MS SQL and stored procedure development knowledge
- Experience with Enterprise development and testing procedures
Preferred
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work effectively within the team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Self-directed and self-motivated to solve problems quickly and creatively
- Experience in Microsoft web security and SiteMinder
- Understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) and Unified Modeling Language (UML).
- Understanding of different Agile Design Patterns
